The proper responses are necessary not only for work, social life, but also prerequisite for health. Studies have shown that individual coping styles are related to the individual's sex, age, personality, life experience, psychological characteristics and mental health. This study is based on the characteristics of the rural secondary school students to explore the status quo of coping styles,and to analyse the relationship between coping styles and gender, grade, family situation (family finances, parental education level), life events, self-awareness, parental rearing patterns, general self-efficacy. providing practical advice and measures of home and school education to rural middle school students to promote the healthy development of students physically and mentally.Subjects and Methods1 the subjects631 students from four middle schools were chosen to answer a questionnaire.2 Survey methods631 middle school students were measured by a questionnaire of coping style, life events, self-awareness, parental rearing style, general self-efficacy scale.3 Statistical AnalysisAll data were processed using SPSS16.0 statistical package, and samples were analyzed using t test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation and regression analysis,with a=0.05 as the test standard.Results1 There was significant gender difference in help-seeking and rational style (P<0.05) among the Rural Middle School Students,Boys scored higher than girls2 Family economy was correlated positively with problem-solving style and help factor (P<0.05), and negatively with self-blame factor (P<0.05).3 Father's educated degree was correlated positively with problem-solving and help-seeking style(P<0.05),and negatively with self-blaming and backoff factor (P<0.05). Mother's educated degree was correlated positively with help-seeking and help-factor(P<0.05), negatively with self-blaming (P<0.05).4 There are gender differences in Punishment and health-adapting (P<0.05), and boys scored higher than girls. Interpersonal relationships, academic pressures, penalty factor were correlated negatively with problem-solving (P<0.05) and help-seeking factors (P<0.05); and positively with self-blame (P<0.05) and fantasy (P<0.05), retreat (P<0.05) and rationalization (P<0.05)5 General self-efficacy was positively correlated with problem-solving and help-seeking (P<0.05), and negatively with self-reproach and backoff factor (P< 0.05).6 There are gender differences in Behavior, physical appearance and attributes, anxiety, gregarious factor (P<0.05). Self-awareness was positively correlated with positive coping methods (problem-solving, help) (P<0.05); and negatively correlated with negative coping styles (self-blame, fantasy, retreat) (P<0.05)7 Fl (father emotional warmth and understanding),M1 (the mother emotional warmth, and understanding) were positively correlated with problem-solving, help-factor (P<0.05), and negatively with self-blame, fantasy, retreat negative correlation (P<0.05).Conclusion1 Students in rural areas when faced with emergencies, tend to use coping styles in the order:problem solving, help-seekinng, fantasy, withdrawal, rationalization, self-blame.2 Rural middle school students tend to use active coping style,for example solving-problems and help-seeking,who have good family economic conditions and higher parental education and stronger self-efficacy and high self-awareness, parents' more emotional warmth and understanding.
