Crime is a product of social reality, It is one of the best view to perspective social reality and social development. Therefore, this paper investigated the merchants during Song Dynasty about the main types of economic crime, characteristics and causes a more comprehensive study, from the business perspective to the analysis of economic crime during the period of the age. The article proved that the merchants have been involved in economic crimes in all areas of the economy, there were different types of economic crime and the criminal forms, and all of these were characteristics of the times, and more serious features of social harm.The merchants' economic crime during that period to have these features is mainly due to the commodity economy, the weakening of social control and moral weakening of binding. Through probing into the economic crime of this period, not only enable us to understand characteristics of the Song era, commodity business in which economic prosperity and social status where the merchants were. At the same time through their analysis, we can see the relationship between the government and businessmen. In the Song Dynasty, with the development of commodity economy and the rise of commerce, businessmen's role in the socio-economic areas gradually increase, the social status of businessmen has also come to be improved to some extent. However, Bi Song was actually a self-sufficient peasant economy based country, the implementation of a centralized system for a long time by the Chinese tradition "Restraining Commerce" policy guidance, therefore, on businessmen to support the government, while there were inhibited attack sides.
