Content: The paper made a comprehensive analysis of economic crime on type, character and cause in the Cheng Hua and Hong Zhi period during the Ming dynasty using Huang Ming Tiao Fa Shi Lei Zuan, the Ming memoir and other primitive data. The author believes that the economic crime in the Cheng Hua and Hong Zhi period during the Ming dynasty has born on each scope of economy with numerous types. Furthermore, it has three characters: the amplitudc of the subject, of crime, the multiple of the way of crime, the complication of the object of crime, whose reasons are as follows: the prosperity of merchandise economy, the increasing number of homeless person, the beginning of the dynamic of social construction, the prevailing breeze of extravagance. Meanwhile, the author realized through analysis that for one thing, merchandise economy is the impetus of social developing with its develop accelerate revolution in social insider, for another, the developing of merchandise economy brings bad effect on the developing of social inevitably which affords necessary material and social conditions for the accruing of economic crime.
