Children's autism is Pervasive Developmental Disorders. The autistic children have emotional,language and communicational disorders. So intervention to autistic children is of much importance theoretically and practically. The research will take sandplay therapy to intervene an autistic boy.Sand-play therapy is a process during the therapy period children can play sand and miniatures in "free and protected" space provided by therapist. Sandplay makes children express their emotion, inspire their imagination and arouse their self-healing potential.The case study discussed these issues by sandplay therapy with a 6-year-old autistic boy. The therapy had processed for 6 months,and included 23 sessions. Every week will take one or two times,Each time had taken one hour. According to the observations and analyses of the process of the therapy,we found the sandplay to the autistic boy achieved some effects to a certain extent:1.The autistic boy become larger degree of digging and moving sand,and the boy's sandplay contain more imaginative and situational elements.2.The improvement of social communication consistent in the appearance of eye-touch and growing accustomed to the children's activities.3.The improvement of lanuage include more vocabulary quantity,more active language and using the conception of "you" "I" "he".4.The improvement of cognition consisted in more recognizing the toy and well done in the mission(such as object recognition and count) which is set by the therapist.The autistic boy's sandplay which has long course of the treatment and slow improvement has undergone secular deposition.According to the intervention and therapy to the boy,who have taken treatment for six months,each times a week,the case have made some provements,but we need make more efforts to the basical and drastical changes.
