Piano Part Art Song Writing Technique Type Were Discussed

The past piano part from art songs are mainly analyzed from techniques, and the present thesis tries to do that from the perspective of "functions of piano part in art songs", that is, what "category" of piano part is, and what function can they have, paying attention to "whole features" and "art spirits". For the sake of convenience, the analysis is called "category type", and past analyses "technique type".The writer's "category type" starts from function of the piano, categorizing into imitating, modeling, describing, foiling, context, supporting, setting off by contrast. (categorizing attached parts into prelude, interlude and ending). These types generally conclude the "face" of piano part in art songs. More importantly, these types easily summarize the function of the piano part in an art song, so as to help player understand better the function and purpose of piano part in this piece of music, as well as better artistic style and spiritual connotations.The thesis can be divided into five parts, chapter one, the origin of the problem, since the domestic study of piano parts in art songs is inadequate, so I had the idea of this thesis. Chapter two, changes of piano parts'status in art songs, it further improves the recognition of piano's function in main body of art songs. Chapter three is the most important part in the thesis. It explains the categorization of imitating, modeling, describing, foiling, context, supporting, setting off by contrast. Chapter four generally explains the categorization of writing subordinate parts of accompaniment in art songs. Chapter five talks about the theoretical basis of category analysis from two sides.At last, the perspective of this thesis, as elaborated in the introduction, tries to analyze piano part in art songs, there must be some imperfections, which needs further study.
