Houtaiping Cemetery is a new discovery ancient relics in recent years, and it is also the only bronze cemetery which excaved in the region of East Liaohe River. The excavation of it provides important material for the research of bronze age archaeological culture. The article is based on the material of Houtaiping Cemetery excavation, staged by the typology and stratigraphy. At the same time, analysis the cultural factors, burial custom, and the age of the cemetery.The article can be divided into the following sections:First, the discovery and excavation of Houtaiping Cemetery. I introduce the process of the discovery, the geographical environment and the distribution of tombs in the cemetery. I introduce the cultural relics and burial objects in a nutshell.Second, Staging of the tombs from the visual angle of pottery. First of all, I describe the different types of the potteries buried as a funerary object in Houtaiping Cemetery, and divide them into different groups by the pottery character of different types. Then array the tombs by the changes of groups.Third, cultural factors analysis. I analyze the different cultural factors which contained in Houtaiping Cemetery by the potteries'character.Forth, The analysis of the burial custom. I expound the character of burial custom by the shape of the tombs, the distribution, the types and location of the burial objects, the burial custom of the cemetery.Fifth, chronometry research. Icompare it with the surrounding culture, and judged the era of Houtaiping Cemetery.
