With the development of social economy and improvement of people's standard of living, people have paid more and more attention to their own well-being experience under the times background in which human nature, justice and harmony are highly stressed. Therefore, Subjective Well-Being (hereinafter to be referred as SWB), as an important measurement of people's standard of living and well-being, are given greater and greater concern and importance. Although there have been many researches on SWB in China, most of them focused on targets like students, teachers, senior citizens and urban residents. There are few researches on the SWB of young employees. Young employees, as the backbone of organizations, play a crucial role in the development and growth of organizations. However, with the increasing of competition in the society, young employees are facing ever-increasing pressures from both life and work. Meanwhile, young employees'well-being and standard of living are drastically going down. Consequently, it is very necessary to make a detailed and comprehensive analysis of young employees'SWB with the application of scientific research methods and at the same time put forward some suggestions for enhancing their SWB, thereby improving their standard of living and well-being.This thesis at first reviews both domestic and foreign researches on SWB. It then defines the connotation of SWB and discusses the dimensions and measurement scales of it and relevant schools of theories. According to the real situations of young employees from three districts: Beijing, Hunan and Guangdong province, this thesis analyzes general conditions of their SWB and seven factors influencing SWB which are self-efficacy, personal trait, copying style, remuneration and incomes, conflicts between work and family, job characteristics and social support. The result shows that the overall level of young employees'SWB is above average and demographic variables such as gender, diploma, title, the nature of the unit, marital status have greater impact on SWB. At last, on the basis of the results of empirical study and young employees'real situations, this thesis puts forward solutions to and suggestions of enhancing young employees'SWB from two angles: individual and organization.
