The Ganzhuer Lama temple was built 200 years ago,which is the Tibetan Buddhism temple built earliest and largest,with most far-reaching impact in the Hulunbeier region.Among all the Buddhist activities,the annual Ganzhuer Buddhist Ceremony is the most important,and the sound behavior keeps as an indivisible part of the ritual,accompanying the ritual from its beginning to its end.Currenlty the Ganzhuer Buddhist Ceremony has evolved gradually into a social cultural phenomen on characterized by the combination of art,entertainment and business,with the temple as its stage,the religious activities its motivation,and in the form of a market.During its inheritance,the old style as well as the national and regional characteristics were kept.These facts demonstrate that the Tibetan Buddhism music,the local religious rites,the custom as well as the ritual ceremony,exist both separately and integrally,forming a"native tradition"characterized by the culture with ethical,regional and religionary faith.In this thesis,the research methodology of combining Insider and Outsider in Ethnomusicology was used to investigate the live recorded music on the Ganzhuer Buddhist Ceremony.At the same time,the culture complex classification system was employed to study the classification of the ritual music.The music was classified into three aspects,the kernel part,the intermediary part and the peripheral part.Moreover,the function and the cultural features of the ritual music were analyzed to obtain macroscopic understanding of the tradition and its evolvement of the music culture of the Ganzhuer Lama temple.
