The main purpose of this research is to study the complete process of intermediate and advanced Thai students on learning Chinese as a foreign language, hence to provide the reference of correctly using can-wish-verb for Thai students.The article is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1—Introduction: Describe the purpose and significance of research followed by the discussion of current problem on the can-wish-verb learning process for Thai students. Analysis of reason, put forward to solve the problem, research objectives, theories and research methods.Chapter 2—Base on the test of 11 can-wish-verb studies: Mainly analyze the test and questionnaire using statistical methods and hypothesize the orde of acquisition about can-wish-verb according to the accuracy rate from student tests.Chapter 3—The analysis on Thai students on can-wish-verb acquisition strategy: Study the strategy used when Thai students acquire can-wish-verb via the language learning strategies and cognitive theories.Chapter 4—Thai student Chinese learning should follow two strategies: Proposed the"teacher's performance"and"student's cognitive learning"as the two key points on Thai student language acquisition.Chapter 5—As results, the author gives a whole conclusion.
