With the development of globalization and world economy and the implementation of "going global" strategy, more and more Chinese enterprises make steps for overseas and strive to develop in international markets. Furthermore, many famous Chinese enterprises try to merger foreign enterprises in recent years, such as Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Petrol Corporation, Lenovo, China Mobile, etc. Under such conditions, it seems to be urgent to make foreigners know the Chinese enterprises and recognize them, then cooperate with Chinese enterprises or buy their services and products. How can Chinese enterprises be recognized on the international market?As we know, publicity plays an important role for the development of modern enterprises. Famous enterprises, home and abroad, all pay more attention to the publicity of themselves because the image and strength of an enterprise can be demonstrated through publicity to some extent. It is obvious that as a kind of "soft strength", the importance of an enterprise's publicity can not be ignored. With the blooming of internet, the traditional publicity methods can riot meet the need of times, for example, we would search it on internet if we want to know a product which is unfamiliar to us. Similarly, foreigners usually browse the websites of Chinese enterprises at first if they would like to know Chinese enterprises. Chinese enterprises usually on their websites not only in Chinese but also in English or other foreign languages, so it is necessary for us to pay high attention to English publicity on websites about Chinese enterprises.Generally speaking, the content of English publicity for enterprises includes enterprise profiles, introduction of products and services, contact information and so on. It is usually the first choice in internet times for readers to look at enterprise profiles when they want to know the enterprise, so the thesis will put emphasis on the analysis of the content structures and language features on enterprise profile, then it shall draw some conclusion from the analysis to provide beneficial and useful suggestions for Chinese-English enterprise profile translation.The thesis is divided into 5 sections. The introduction is the current development about enterprise profile translation, the research questions, and the research limitations. Chapter One analyzes the content structures and language features of Chinese enterprise profiles. In Chapter Two, a comparison is made between Chinese enterprises profiles and foreign enterprise profiles. In Chapter Three, the thesis puts forward the translation strategies and tactics on Chinese enterprise profile translation, at last, the thesis draws conclusions.
