By quoting lots of various historical works, anthologies, notes and annals of local histories and employing the methodologies in the field of Chinese historical documentation studies, this thesis is a systematically research on《八旗通志·学校志》during the Qing Dynasty.The thesis mainly includes six parts as followed:The introduction explains the main content,selected topic and its significance, reviews the current situation of research on education system of《八旗通志》, and summarizes the structure of this thesis and the methodologies which have been utilized.In ChapterⅠ, the author highlighted the problems of Initial Book and Imperial Book.Not only carried out the two books'author,book title, volume number, and its bibliographic research in《四库全书》,but also put forward herself views according to the existing academic views.In addition, the thesis compared the two books from content style, language use and citing historical data, etc,indicated that the latter is by no means a sequel or second set of the former,then clarified the version of《八旗通志》at last.In ChapterⅡ, Through the collation of main content between the Initial Book and Imperial Book and compared with other historical data, the author finds out that《八旗通志》compare favorably with other historical records not only from quoting the authenticity or richness of the content but also from the broad range contained and style of the systematic compilated.In ChapterⅢ, the author clarified types of educational institutions in《八旗通志·学校志》and according to levels of different types with modern education divided it into central, local, multi-school groups and other social forces. Through the entry cited in the book, the author comparatived analysis of the various institutions,then we may see the studies at the scale of the flags.ChapterⅣand ChapterⅤseparately from the administrative system of modern education model and the two plates to start teaching system,textualed the personnel system, funding sources, selection of teachers, students assessment, curriculum setting and Imperial way status recorded in the book.Forever, the author builted the school administrative system,management system of the organization, implementation of education and teaching activities to explain details which revealed the operating mode of the education system in Qing Dynasty Eight Flog to achieving the book's historical value then make it perfect for the current education system has plated a good inspiration and reference.
