| Under the background of globalization, there is a wide range of exchanges between Kazakhstan and China, so the rise of the Chinese language learning in Kazakhstan has boomed. However, the Chinese-language teaching materials are the big problem in the course of study. This paper argues that the biggest problem is material localization which Chinese textbooks are facing. Localization of teaching materials means that teaching materials which were introduced are compiled and written according to the local's culture, customs and beliefs, and correspond to usage of the own materials. Therefore, we hope that the writing of Chinese teaching materials will combine Kazakhstan's history, pay attention to intersection between language and culture and make content of materials contact to Kazakhstan's studies, lives and works as possible. However, most of the Chinese textbooks are directly translated abroad, and they are incompatible with the local's culture, that is why the problem of material localization should be solved as soon as possible. This paper argues that the main reason of weakness of materials localization in Kazakhstan is the lack of the research in this aria. Therefore. I wrote an essay on hope that we could find the problem of material localization in Kazakhstan, and then propose the corresponding measures by studying of material localization against these problems. This article takes the reading materials for example, analyzes the principal source and content typesetting of Chinese texts in Kazakhstan, and summarizes the existing problems in the texts:non-professional of compilation method, shortage of compilation people, shortage of funds and lack of government's support. The process of material localization is more difficult under these problems. On these issues, the article proposes the direction of improvement in material localization, and we should focus on the localization of content and pattern to improve the content and scope of textbooks. In these ways, we can combine Chinese textbooks and indigenous culture of Kazakhstan together, and provide a better tool for people who would learn Chinese. |
