With the rapid development of Chinese economy, its comprehensive national strength has been strengthened and its international prestige has been increased, when Chinese are eager to learn more about the world, the people of other countries are also eager to learn more about China, therefore, foreigner's enthusiasm for studying Chinese is continually on the rise, which has not only brought about unprecedented opportunities but also challenges for teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL)Teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL) is not only a language but also a culture teaching. Language is the carrier of culture and culture is the content of language, language teaching is tied up with cultural education. As an crucial part of a core value system of a nation, culture has rich connotation and extension, it takes language as a carrier and cultural exchange as a vehicle, moves radically outward. However, TCFL is an important way that Chinese traditional culture moves radically outward,its educational content certainly includes various cultural elements. Chinese traditional culture inevitably meets with conflicts of various cultural patterns in the process of TCFL education, it will eventually be mixed with foreign cultures via cultural contacting,crashing and coordinating. Cultural conflict, as a necessary phase of cultural mixing, has different forms and distinctive features in TCFL.This paper starts with general propositions of cultural conflict problems arising from TCFL, discusses the connotation and extension of culture, analyses the its logical connection with language, roughly defines the connotation and cultural elements of TCFL. Based on the evolutionary process of cultural conflict problems arising from TCFL, it successively explains three developmental moments which are cultural contact,cultural conflict and cultural mixing. On the basis of analyzing the expression form of cultural conflicts between teachers and students and cultural conflicts between students, this paper puts forward measures that strengthens TCFL teachers'attachment to local culture, builds TCFL teachers' multicultural positions, enhances TCFL teachers' attainment of knowledge and culture, strengthens TCFL teachers' modern teaching skills, so on and so forth, which effectively solves cultural conflict problems arising from TCFL, enhances the effects on the fusion between quality of TCFL and culture, promotes the cultural harmony under multicultural contact system around the world.
