The Lexical Semantics Phenomenon Related To Grammaticalization Of Prepositions In Contemporary Chinese Dictionary

Most of the modern Chinese prepositions is grammaticalized from verbs ,and words derived by grammaticalization process brings the lexical semantics phenomenon, will brings certain problems to dictionary compilation. Based on the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary (5 edition, hereinafter referred to as the "CCD") as the research object, this includes analysis of 100 prepositions, summarizes the general rules and principles of CCD, with prepositions'grammaticalization process related annotation of the lexical semantics phenomenon, from two aspects, the establishment of entries and the order of semantic items, to summarize the experience and find the insufficiency of search, in order to get a more reasonable and scientific definition way.The introduction, introduces existing research outcomes and shortcomings. The study of dictionary definitions, more focused on macro definition principles and notional interpretations of prepositions in the course of evolution grammaticalization caused by the change of meaning and usage in the dictionary, how to embody and processing, no academic circles and no research.The first chapter, the dictionary definition related issues. CCD establishes the entry, basically on word connected between meanings. The order of semantic items, according to the basic meaning in front, the common meaning in front and the specific meaning in front.The second chapter, the preposition entry. Judge prepositions grammaticalization degree, can from semantic, grammar and pragmatic three aspects for an investigation. CCD establish a high degree of grammaticalization prepositions and new produces two-syllable prepositions for entry, a total of 26, such treatment is reasonable.The third chapter, preposition arrangement for semantic items.
