An Archaeology Study Of The Ancient Ceramic Kiln In The Three Gorges Zone

Via making the preliminary estimating and analyzing on archaeological discovery date of Three gorges area's ancient ceramic kiln, this thesis introduces the various types of this group ceramic kilns, such as draught kiln, bank kiln, Half pour flame kiln, Strike flame kiln. And this thesis analyze on the each kind of ceramic kiln's structure, development, and its technology origin. This thesis attaches the sectional plan of each kind of ceramic kiln's structure and their detailed date table, as well as attaching the allocation plan for each kind of ceramic kiln which making according to the ear, which vividly draw the outline of ancient ceramic technology development history for the three gorges area from the Neolithic age to Qing dynasty, and its content can be divided into following 6 paragraphs:1. Introduction. This paragraph mainly contains three part, they are the summary for the China ancient ceramics'situation, the beforehand study's problem and the mainly problem which this thesis will study. First of all, it makes a simple summarization on China ancient ceramics study situation; and then put forth the previous study's problem, and third, explanation on the purpose, purport, ways and the problem when it study occur.2. Pre-Qin dynasty---emergence period of the Three gorges ceramic kilns. This paragraph includes 5 parts, they are, The archaeological discovery of each kind of ceramic kilns for Pre-Qin dynasty on three gorges area, the draught kiln—the earliest ceramic kiln, the primitive bank kiln and name divisive Half pour flame kiln and summary of this thesis. First of all, this thesis makes a summary on archaeological finds dates for each kinds of ceramic kilns on the Pre-Qin dynasty's three gorges area. Secondly, this paragraph makes the archaeology type analysis on draught kiln, and investigates on its technology origin. Thirdly, it makes the structure analysis on the preliminary bank kiln and investigates on its technology origin. Fourthly, it make the structure analysis on half pour flame kiln and investigate on its technology origin, Fifthly, it makes the summarize on development situation on Pre-Qin dynasty ceramic industry. 3.Qin Dynasty to Six Dynasties----The development period for ancient ceramics industry for three gorges. This thesis includes 6 parts, and they are the archaeology discovery of ceramics on Qin and Han dynasties, the draught kiln on Qin&Han dynasties, bank kiln on Qin&Han dynasties, Half pour flame kiln on Qin&Han dynasties, and a little knowledge on Qin &Han dynasties'ceramic kiln, and the ceramic kiln on Six dynasties. This paragraph introduces the archaeology findings'situation of Three gorges area on Six dynasties, and investigates structure changing and technology improvement for each kind of ceramic kiln at this period, and analyze the ceramic kilns'characters and simply introduce the Outfit burn process of ceramic kiln, meanwhile this paragraph makes the special expound that at this period, there is starting to appear a large of brick kiln.4. The archaeology discoveries and investigate on ceramics'technology of Three gorges on Tang& Song to Yuan,Ming&Qing dynasties. This paragraph contains two parts, that it, Tang& Song dynasties----The mature period of ancient three gorges area of ceramics'technology. Yuan,Ming&Qing dynasties----the again development and decline period of Three gorges ancient ceramics'technology. The first part analyses the development situation for two kinds of ceramic kilns---half pour flame kiln and bank kiln which was discovered at Tang & Song dynasties at Three gorges area, and this paragraph introduces the Outfit burn process of half pour flame kiln. At the same time, this paragraph introduce the situation of half pour flame kiln of Chong Qing Tu Hill Kiln group which uses the coal as the fuel. The second part introduces the situation of ceramic kiln's archaeology findings at Yuan,Ming&Qin dynasties, and finding the new type of kiln at this period---Strike flame kiln, and this part make the investigate on the structure and technology of strike flame kiln.5. Conclusion. This paragraph makes a summary on the whole thesis, and notice again major viewpoints at each paragraph, and making a prospect on the study content. First of all, it informs again the purpose of this thesis, and summarizes the major viewpoints at each paragraph. And then expound the difficulties at the study and put forth the unsolved task of this thesis, which hope takes the attention of relative scholars, to make the further study of this task.
