A Research To The Tomb Distribution Of Six Dynasties In Urban Of Nanjing

From the third century to the sixth century AD, six dynasties make Nanjing as their capital and they are respectively:Eastern Wu, Eastern Jin, Song, Qi, Liang and Chen. During this time, Nanjing, a place inhabited by the emperor and nobility, is the politics and cultural center of southern China, and naturally there is a concentrated distribution of tombs. Since the archaeological excavation's carrying out in the 50s of the 20th century, nearly one thousand tombs of these six dynasties have been excavated, which offers very rich materials for the research of archaeologists. The article gives a research to the tomb distribution situation of six dynasties in Nanjing which rarely attracts predecessors' attention, and draws a tomb distribution map of the urban district (within the ring road) through ArcGIS software platform.In addition to introduction, the article is divided into four chapters.The introduction part gives a summary to the discovery and research situation of the six dynasties' tomb distribution in Nanjing, and based on this, it puts forward the tomb distribution question the article is trying to research. This part also combs out the predecessors' researches and holds that it is necessary to draw a six dynasties' tomb distribution map in Nanjing with new technology.The first chapter analyzes the distribution features and the concentrated distribution area in accordance with Nanjing's tomb distribution maps of Eastern Wu and Western Jin and other explicit pictures. Due to the reason that many large and middle scale tombs are mainly distributed at JIangning district which are not included in the maps, so the article also gives a discussion over the tombs of Eastern Wu and Western Jin at Jiangning district.Chapter two presents the tomb distribution map of Eastern Jin and analyzes its distribution features and concentrated area through explicit pictures. Besides, tables are made in order to present the tomb distribution situation of some detailed areas and find some connections.Chapter three offers a Nanjing's tomb distribution map of Southern Dynasties period and analyzed its distribution features and concentrated area in accordance with explicit pictures.Chapter four summarized the distribution situation of the tombs whose owners are clear and tries to analyze the connection between the tomb site and its county in accordance with the unearthed epitaphs and relevant literature, so that the social life transfer of that time can be reflected.The conclusion part summarizes the tombs distribution features and changes of six dynasties in Nanjing and explores the corresponding problem of city development.
