The Research On The Transition Of The Structure And Tombs' Decorative Portrait Of Han Dynasty Tombs

Xuzhou,as the hometown and important kingdom nation of Liu Bang,who is the Han emperor Liu Bang,boasts large number of Han dynasty tombs.All the tombs of Han Dynasty discovered provide large amount of materials for researchers to research Han culture.Influenced by the tombs from Zhou,Chu,Qin,Han inherits original style but his its uniqueness in shape and decoration.The huge change from stone tombs to chambered tombs;the change in length,width of the tomb passage,processional road,tomb door of feudal rulers;the transit of the ceiling of tombs,including flattop,vault,temple top,domed roof;the transformation in composition,theme,decoration,picture and shape of small and medium size Han tombs including wood tombs,stone tombs,stone chamber tombs,brick chamber tombs,brick mixed tombs and Han tomb pictures,all these make us wonder how these artifacts evolve? Why all these amazing changes happened in Han Dynasty? What's the reason behind it? These questions drive us to find answers.This thesis focus on the research of the transformation of structure,shape and decoration pictures of Xuzhou Han Dynasty tombs and looking for its artistic and religious value.Based on the tombs of marquis and rulers and small and medium size tombs,I try to research the transformation process of structure and shape of Han tombs in five periods: the early Western Han Dynasty,the middle Western Han Dynasty,the late Western Han Dynasty,from the early Eastern Han Dynasty to the middle Eastern Han Dynasty,from the middle Eastern Han Dynasty to the late Eastern Han Dynasty.Then based on the Han Sculptured Stone Tomb,I explore the direction of transformation of decoration pictures of Han tombs in five periods too,the early Western Han Dynasty,from the middle Western Han Dynasty to the late Western Han Dynasty,from the end of Western Han Dynasty to the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty,from the early Eastern Han Dynasty to the middle Eastern Han Dynasty and the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty.Then,I try to dig the Han culture trough two angles and find out that there are both material and spiritual reason behind these transformations.Finally,I make conclusion about the religious behaviors under the system of religious faith in life and death.
