| The current study aims to make an entrepreneurial competency scale. Based on previous entrepreneurial competency scales and the data collected by interviewing and analyzing the experiences of several entrepreneurs, the theoretical frame of this study was constructed and the first edition of entrepreneurial competency scale was made. With the first edition, the author made a pilot study using the original scale,68 subjects participated in the study. Accoring to the mental measure criteria, it was found that risk-taking competence scale(16 items), previous knowledge scale(including 6 items) and market oriention and management competence scale are not suitable to measure the required competency, so these items were deleted and so were the items in other scales. The original frame was changed into five parts: entrepreneurial alertness scale; entrepreneurial intention scale; social competency scale; leadership competency scale; creation competency scale, all of these scales meet the requirements of mental measure, and the second edtion has formed. With the second edition, the author made the second study,160 subjects participated. According to the criteria mentioned in the pilot study,20 other items were deleted. The remained scale contains four parts:entrepreneurial intention scale; social competency scale:leadership competency scale; creation competency scale, and the third edition has formed. In order to confirm the structure got from the second study, the author made the third study, which included 107 subjects. The results of statistical analysis showed that the structure is in accord with the theoretical structure.By three studies, a final theoretical frame of entrepreneurial competency was established. It is composed of four parts:entrepreneurial intention scale, including persistence and self-efficacy; social competency scale, including net-working and coordination of interpersonal relationship; leadership competency scale, including influence and inspiration and management of funds and resources; creation competency scale, including establishment of creative atmosphere and response to turbulent market. |
