Research On Words And Characters Of ShangSunJiaZhai Wooden Slips

ShangSunJiaZhai wooden slips were excavated in a late Western Han Dynasty tomb on July 1978 in Datong County Qinghai Province. ShangSunJiaZhai wooden slips has received widespread attention in academia. The research results mainly in the definition of the quality of wooden slips, content classification, the similar content of the "Art of War" and the military system of the Han Dynasty. Based on the whole investigation of ShangSunJiaZhai, this thesis has a total research on its words and characters.This thesis is composed of three chapters and appendix as follows:The first chapter is "Introduction" which contains a brief description of the collative information, current researches, research aim and methods.The second chapter is the main body of the thesis. This part contains the legend and the interpretation of all the words and expressions in ShangSunJiaZhai wooden slips. Firstly, we get all the words through the comparison of the two kinds of the interpretations and the treatment of the professional software GuanShen. Secondly, investigate the meanings of items exhaustively with the help of the books and historical documents handed down.The third chapter is a general research on some proper nouns about the name of the rank of nobility in the troops of Western Han Dynasty and discussion of some characters'using phenomenon.The appendix contains the index of every word in order to facilitate the search and the reference and several difficult words which have not be interpreted yet.Owing my limited learning ability and time, there must be many errors in the thesis. Sincerely hope to get the guidance and the corrections of the experts.
