Research On Words And Expressions Of "Changshadongpailou Donghanjiandu"

Some wooden slips of Eastern Han Dynasty were excavated in the 7th ancient well of Dongpailou construction site in Changsha, Hunan province in 2004. Dong-Pai-Lou-Dong-Han-Jian-Du was published by Cultural Relics Publishing House in 2006.As newly-unearthed materials with clear time and substantial content, it is of great value. The academic circles paid attention to these new materials and research results spring up unceasingly in about 3 years since the Dong-Pai-Lou-Dong-Han-Jian-Du were published.We choose the words and expressions in Dong-Pai-Lou-Dong-Han-Jian-Du as object of study in this thesis, and explain their meanings.This thesis contains three chapters:the introduction, the main body, the third chapter as follows:1. Introduction:we mainly introduced the Dongpailou Donghan Jiandu's excavation, interpretation, research status and the value of this thesis. The measures practiced in this thesis are also mentioned in the part.2. The second chapter is the main body of the thesis. It is composed of guide notes and main body of the dictionary. On the base of the published annotations and research results, at the first, we check and proofread the annotations carefully against the original pictures of the wooden slips in order to ensure the reliability of study materials. Secondly, we sort out these annotations and make an index by Guanshen data base. Then inquire into the context and meaning of every character, consult the dictionary and ancient documents, and explain the whole expressions in Dong-Pai-Lou-Dong-Han-Jian-Du. There are 785 single-syllable words and 282 poly-syllable words and expressions.3. The third chapter is composed of several discussions on some special words and expressions and some character's usage in Dong-Pai-Lou-Dong-Han-Jian-Du.However, owing to my limited time and capability, there are still some words and expressions waiting for research. The appendix contains unknown words and expressions and reference books. For convenience of reference, the index of word is added.
