This thesis tries to analyze the content of "dialogue" in two different cultural teaching materials based on conversation analysis theory and conversation structure theory in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Inspection has indicated that in the Chinese culture teaching material, what matters most is the lacks of thorough explanation on what exists behind dialogues which makes foreign students in a dilemma; simple conversation opening and the ending, insufficient understanding of conversation structure,the abbreviated conversation ending and the lack of more conversation close to life have, brought negative influence on learner's study. This paper focuses on those problems and tries to seek appropriate solutions in order to offer a good hand for the edit for teaching materials.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction about the research goal and the significance, the research content as well as the research present situation. The second part is to explain the concrete concept of conversation meaning by using conversation meaning analysis theories and to infer cultural impact on conversation meaning through the cooperation principle and correlation theory. The third part introduces the words round structural theory, utilizes a words round transformation and the concept of relative language as well as some concrete examples to analyze conversation structure. The fourth part takes advantage of teaching material example to analyze macrostructures of conversation, especially the opening and ending of a dialogue. The fifth part is a conclusion which has pointed out the research significance and innovations in this paper, and has also discussed the contents that need to supplemented in this thesis and put forward some suggestions for more profound research on the compilation for teaching materials.
