The poetry developed to the peak in Tang and Song Dynasties. In these poems, allusions play a very important part, just like putting a cherry on the top. There are various express forms in these allusions. Sometimes, a word or a phrase sums up the original idea of allusions. In addition, other things were used to imply these allusions positively and negatively. Thus, the right understanding of the allusions is beneficial to get a rough idea of the thoughts, feelings and intention of these writers. However, for these readers, who are not quite familiar with the Chinese culture, It is very important to adopt a good way to understand and translate poetry.First, The concept and origin of allusion was analyzed. Second, author divided these allusions into eight major categories from the kinds of allusions, source of allusions and so on. Then author matches the same allusions along with different translators, compares these translations with different translators, analyze merits and demerits of different translators, finally hit upon a solution to the situation. In the end, we try to find a good way to promote the exchange and cooperation between Western Culture and Chinese Culture in order to avoid appear the situation of culture loss.
