Seamus Heaney was one of most important English poets at the present age, and the most prominent Irish poet since Yeats. Since 1960s Heaney has published more than ten anthologies of poetry, prose, and translation works. Most of Heaney's most important and beatiful works are about relatives. These poems are known for concise and concrete. As he implicated the kidness in the poems, he aslo search for his identity and aseity.The introduction is about Seamus Heaney's life and the bibliography, the status of research home and abroad, as well as the works of Heaney. The mainbody falls into four parts. The first part is concerned with the importance of relatives theme in Heany's poetry. The second part is about the concise and concrete of these poetics, the achievements and the feature. The third part focus on his probe about the relation between parent and child. In conclusion, I review and summarize the whole article and represent his poetic style.
