A Study On Theory And Practice Of Yamaha Music Education System

This paper summarizes and classifies Genichi Kawakami's teaching principles,founding background of YAMAHA,management system,teachers'training, ability assessment system and so on,on the theoretical basis of Genichi Kawakami'music education ideology,who is the original founder of YAMAHA.on the meantime, the author uses field observation, the author analyzes its teaching characteristics and processes objectively which promotes the referring, understanding, and considering of YAMAHA among the national music education scholars. The author adopts a series of research methods including literature, observation, interview, and comparison.This paper includes 6 chapters:among them, the first chapter is about introduction, which is the description of the reason to choose this topic, research meaning and values, research situation and methods and process. The second chapter is the introduction of the founding background and developing process of YAMAHA music education system;The third chapter classifies and summarizes Genichi Kawakami's teaching principles. The fourth chapter is about the managing mechanism and training system of YAMAHA company. The fifth chapter demonstrates and analyzes the real teaching situation at the young learners'course with observation method and case study. The sixth chapter is the last chapter, and it is a part for discussion,in which, on one hand,the author compares the suzuki method to YAMAHA teaching methods from multi-perspectives, on the other hand,some opening discussions have been arose on music education.The meaning of this paper put the focus on this systematic, refined music education system. With the time of globalization, YAMAHA music education,as a commercial mode under a kind of social music education, primarily serves those ranging from primarily early education among children to popularizing the musical ideology among adults from the learning perspective.Systematic courses of YAMAHA company,advanced teachers'training,complete scientific research and management system and so on, have a profound meaning on our national school music education and social music education revolution.
