Research On Su Shi's Biao Text

This text mainly research Biao text of Su Shi. As a distinguished literature model in Song Dynasty, literally Su Shi is more reputed in his classic Chinese proses which are greatly encouraged by him. However, over hundreds of years, his Biao text have been neglected, some of which yet could be masterpieces in reality. This paper, focusing on Su's Biao text, tries to make a comprehensively detailed presentation of the great classical writer's outstanding performance in Biao text.The full text is totally divided into four parts to introduce Su Shi's Biao text.The first part makes a brief conclusion of the Biao text. evolution situation based on the development of parallel proses over the past dynasties before Su's period, thus explaining the concept of Biao text.The second part categorized by the content of the Biao text that based on the texts from "Collected Classics by Su Shi", which are listed as acknowledgement Biao text, petition Biao text, congratulation Biao text, tribute Biao text,exchang Biao text and others Accordingly, model texts of the different categories are further analysed. Taking the artistic innovation aspect as a contact point.The third part specifically analysed Su's breakthroughs in means of artistic expression of writing Biao text. By both vertical and horizontal comparisons.The fourth part deeply discusses internal origins and excellence of Su's Biao text, confirming his outstanding position in literature history, according to his imitation from the former scholars, his similarities and the differences with the contemporary scholars, and make a investigation on his profounding influence on later scholars.The main conclusions of this paper is that, as an excellent literator, in addition to well-known promotion of the ancient classic proses, Su as well makes great achievements in parallel proses which must never be underestimated. Moreover, his many Biao text which have been neglected over the hundreds of years, are also masterpieces, which may be rated as model texts of petition styles.
