The Chu bamboo strips of Xingyang was unearthed in Chu tomb No.l of Chanytaiguan county, Henan Province in 1957. It was composed of two parts: the one is bamboo book, comprising 119 bamboo strips, which was seriously damaged. And it was praised the earliest Warring States bamboo book of our country. The other is Funeral object bamboo strips. It was made up of 29 ones, which are well preserved and intact. Its contents are funeral objects. The ancient Chinese characters on these bamboo strips are invaluable for the Study of the ideology of the time, evolution of the script, and funerary objects form of books made of strips.This dissertation is mainly about the collection of interpretations of Bamboo Book and Funeral Object Strips, which was based on gathering a large numbers of documents, and to offer a thorough and detailed information about the Xingyang bamboo strips. Moreover, referring to the Chu bamboo strips of Baoshan tomb, Wangshan tomb, Jiudian tomb, Guodian tomb and those were collected by Shanghai Museum, We put forward two new interpretations of the ancient writing on the bamboo strips:1.
