Chinese Painting In The Language Of Imagery Of The Post Modernism

As the Chinese traditional art, Chinese painting has been exploring between the past and nowadays, China and the West from 20th century. This process is so diswimmy and shows how difficult the exploration is. In the beginning of 20th century, Chinese painting set about referring to the West and focusing on social life, which brought on the prosperity. But later on, high art fell into bad predicament, and brought Chinese painting one梡art form. During the new time of open梔oor and revolution, high art is waking up. The 85'New Tide Art broken up the old form while losing sight of tradition. On one side, high spirit brings prosperity to art, but on other side, problems to ways bring perplexity to art. In the 90's of the 20th century, the post modern times of Chinese painting, we must build up high spirit again, and set up the purpose of central value to art while keeping up creativity freedom and taking high sight on our tradition so much as a cultural strategy. These are two sides of one question. To the first one, we need to realize that art personality and critical spirit are the real center of post modernism art. Lao zhuang philosophy, the central spirit of Chinese traditional art, has much to do with it, and both them show the pursuit to art personality and exploration to aesthetic language. Now, we need to catch on the property of modern time and new spring spot of culture. During the same time, we also need to inherit the human custom of truth, goodness and beauty. As to the other one, we first need to understand "modernity" correctly, then figure out central intention of Chinese painting as well as making way to catch eyes in border of water and ink, and pursue the work of art, modernize our tradition. It is not only quest to improvements of Chinese painting, but also the key to dissolve into post modernism circumstance.
