The Collision Between Xiangxi's Complex And City's Civilization

In the contemporary literature history of China, Shen Congwen is of no doubt a figure of disputations. In the more than 20-year writing career, he had published a large quantity of novels with complicated contents. As to his novels and concepts in creation, there used to be paradox in many people's eyes. Shen Congwen used to call himself "countryside man". On the other hand , Shen Congwen established a mirror for the people who were named "the noble",in this study the pity is inevitable. When you look into his novels ,you can see the criticism towards the people who lived a twisted and cheating life. When you read his novels, you can see the world which Shen Congwen tried his best to form the "The Greek Temple" of human nature which is a field that was not polluted by contemporary culture and was a static world. In contrast, Shen Congwen finished the nameless choice which was actually the portrait when a countryside man ran into the big city one day. The creation in aesthetic style relied on the memory of xiangxi life and the satire on contemporary city. In the mean time, it became Shen Congwen's fundamental value. Shen congwen ,whose career was filled withstruggle, not only broke away from the burden of the big city ,but also dreamed in xiangxi's happiness which could reduce his hunger for xiangxi . This text is based on Shen Congwen's novels and tries to discuss the persistence and withdraw in shen congwen culture choice. To reach the aim ,the author complete the text from three aspects: his life experience ,the perceptual morality spirit ,his willfulness to novel art,and his firmly believing in life.
