This article scientifically analyzes by narratolagy on Chinese detective novels in the new times, tries to generalize the internal structural rules in this kind novels and search for a " small scale" system to cover the mode for current Chinese detective novels in the new times. This article consists of four chapters.The first chapter: the formation and development of Chinese detective novels. This chapter mainly defines the concept of the detective novel, takes a back look at its history, and sees the changes of the narrative mode for the text in each development period. Detective novels are involved around things on the criminal' s crime and detector' s detection. Chinese detective novels have experienced four periods: classic public-case novel period, modern detective novel period, spy-against novel period and the new times detective novel period. Each period has its extraordinary narrative characteristic.The second chapter: discussion on the structural mode of Chinese detective novels in the new times. In this part, analyzes the story-describing method for Chinese detective novels in the new times, and discloses the basic way of constructing narrative structure for detective novels. In other words, the text must complete the demonstration of a criminal story and an investigative story, and these two stories restrict with each other and infiltrate into each other, and are combined into two sequences connective and independent.The third chapter: discussion on the narrative role mode of Chinese detective novels in the new times. In this part, the text analyzes the character' s position and function, makes a conclusion on the narrative rules, and discloses the connective mode of text roles from the six character types of subject/object, instructor/bearer, supporter/opposer.The fourth chapter: analysis on the narrative techniques of Chinese detective novels in the new times. In this part, the text deeply researched on the text narrative mode and realized that there are two techniques on these novels: one is to set and fill the blank space in the narrative course; second is, on the combining form of point of view and narrator, to realize the text on through a special point of view and narrators who deliberately oppresses or delays information in two functional cases. At last, gets a result from comparison on the detective novels and the simultaneous cinema writing , that the former uses some methods from the later for reference.
