As a worldwide event, World War II attracts many writers throughout the world, and there appear many outstanding texts on it. The Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings, a part of this event, also get great achievements, and become an important part of the 20th century Chinese literary history. However, the academic circles' studies fall behind, although we have got a lot of progress and important achievements. The problems are like this: we pay much attention to the wartime writings while little to the postwar writings; we separate the Chinese war writings with the whole Chinese literary history and the whole world literatures. In this article we put the Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings into a wider reference frame, the general pattern of world anti-Fascist writings. Using the method of parallel study, and taking the type of novel as an example, we inquire into the relations between Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings and world Anti-Fascist War writings, and compare their themes and morality. After that, we try to find out the reasons for the phenomenon. In wider field of vision, it is helpful to get out of the self-obturated predicament for Chinese War writings, and break away the estrangement between Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings and world Anti-Fascist War writings and have a level-headed hold of Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings for us.The article is divided into two parts. In part I we think that the relationship between Chinese Anti-Japanese War writings and world Anti-Fascist War writings changes from similarity in the wartime to difference in the postwar. During the wartime, their themes appear to be simultaneously similar-patriotism and heroism in the nation-country discourse. However, they step into two different ways after the War. Since 1950s, the writers of war writings in the West have begun to take the humans as the value measurement, and tried to pursue human nature, human feelings and humanity in the war, while the Chinese writers on Anti-Japanese War continued the old way. They create heroic characters in the War, described their legendary stories, and pursued the spiritual themes like patriotism and heroism. In part II, we analyze the reasons for the difference. We try to find the reasons from the war culture traditions, the cultural political contexts and the writers' cultural psychology.
