Homophonic Culture And Pragmatic Values

Homophones, existing in many aspects of daily life , are favored by the Han nationality .They have close relations to Han peoples certain cultural traditions, national psychology and aesthetic standards, on which the long-standing and colorful civilization is branded .In this text, under the guidance of the theories of many scientific disciplines, such as science of speech communication , rhetoric , lexicology ,dialectology folk lore psychology ,science of production study, culture, semiotics, etc, we attempt to probe into homophones' classifications, the reason why they came into being and the implementation methods and summarize homophone's characteristics , beginning with the formation of the homophonic culture . Also we will analyze the relationship between homophone and culture , as well as its values in social pragmatic use .Thus we can make people understand the abundant national culture that homophone contains and get an intimate knowledge of it for better communication .
