The paper systematically talks about oversea students' errors of homophone writing. We select related language materials from HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of the Beijing Language and Culture University. According to the corpora, we made a comprehensive investigation on the errors. We find the types and inherent law of their errors. After this,we propose some related measures to guide Chinese character teaching.Base on the data, we classify the errors of homophone writing into four categories:words with similar forms and meanings, words with similar forms and Irrelevant meaning, words with differ forms and similar meaning, words with differ forms and meaning. The analysis found that students' errors of homophone writing is mainly due to four reasons:the large number of homophones characters, the rule of first-grade characters is weak, the meaning of the characters with similar forms is confused and the meaning of words is not clear. In order to effectively avoid the errors of homophone writing, we can take the corresponding teaching strategies: the strategie of word combination is useful for the four types. The strategie of meaning association and radical discrimination would more apply to words with similar forms and meanings, and also useful for words with similar forms and Irrelevant meaning. Last the strategie of context discrimination is useful for words with differ forms and meaning.
