"QiLai "is frequently used in modern Chinese. It has abundant meanings in both Lexis and grammar. Generally speaking , most people have no doubt that "QiLai" belongs to verbs when it as predicate in a sentence. However, there are different opinions about its meanings and the categories it belongs to. When it is used as predicate. Here we call this non-predicate "QiLai" a tendency word , and give it a definition and explanations. At the same time, we have select five hundred adjectives that are often used and put them into the structure of "adjective + QiLai" one by one to analysis and study carefully. The result is: some adjectives are suitable for this structure, others are not. Here are also supply some conclusions of their characters and reasons to analyze for the result. Here are also give the semantic characters, use principles and variety forms of the adjectives that are suitable for the structure. At the end of the article, we also give between "QiLai" and "XiaQu" differentiates and analyses.
