YiJing is a famous Pre-Qin book and record, which is rich in Linguistic features. YiJing provides important linguistic material for the study of vocabulary in ancient Chinese. But the historic liberator and scholars didn't have a thorough study on its linguistic features. On the basis of full absorption of the successful experience of traditional interpretation of ancient texts, this article uses the scientific theories and methods of modern linguistics, lexicology and semantics to have an overall and thorough analysis of the vocabulary in YiJing and an objective theoretical induction of its vocabulary characteristics and internal laws.In this study, I'm try to combines the qualitative analysis with the quantitative analysis, the individual study with the systematic study, the objective description with the theoretical conclusion. My puts the emphasis on the word-formation, polysyllabic words, and component and evolution of signification. It systematical analyzes and expounds the Text ' s word-formation, parts of speech and their grammatical characteristics. Find some traits in this book.1.Words of old Chinese seem to be mainly monosyllables, YiJing record the change from monosyllables to disyllables. There are twomodes of word building in the YiJing .One is to form a buyable, which is a single-morpheme word by changing the pronunciation of a phoneme. Its major expression is a simple pattern. The other is structural word building. With various grammatical means to express vocabulary meanings, it has great initiative and activity.2.Revealing a primitiveness and imperfection characteristics of Chinese language of remote ages.Through this description, this article attempts to revise, complete and perfect previous incompletion by studying its vocabulary. Having learned a lot from ancestors and conducted research into the book, the article puts forward his own opinions for further discussion. And try to define the date of the book.
