discusses the representation of body writing in Chinese literature and even Chinese society in different periods since the 1990's. The author of this paper refers to the works of Duras, explores the possible influences including the stylistic forms and inner spirit, and further cards the rule of "body writing". During the 10 years, the "body writing" experienced the phases of "looking for my body", "the bewildering body" and "the vagrant body". The development also reflects the evolution from the self-consciousness in modernism to the composite status of the parting and renascence of self-consciousness in post-modernism. From the idea of "I owe the body" to the understanding of the absurdity of" I owe the body while the body is myself, the author opens out how the "body" enters the field of literature and the social text as the most important consciousness in the present age. At the same time, the author attempts to predict the future of body writing, i.e. the possibility of entering the world of the relationship between "you and me", returning to the period of theology, and seeking consolation from others.
