The diplomacy of National government during the Pacific War was not only the most significant content of Sino-British relationships, but also the important part of the foreign relations history. It benefited from the pattern of the international relation in that period, and attributed to the National governmental untiring efforts.First, the international relationship pattern National government lying in during Pacific War.After the Sino-Japanese War's bursting, the international situation was not isolated, Japanese invading China did harm to the interests of the west, and gave rise to their attentions to concern Chinese battlefield. The National government paid attention to apply diplomatic methods, striving for the support of the west, which was the main idea of its diplomacy. However, the international situation was too serious, the Britain was filled with the Appeasement ambience, while the isolationism was prevalent in American. The west was flabby to Japan and didn't carry out effective measures to support Chinese resistance, After the Pacific War's erupting, the Britain, American and the USSR were pressed by the two-side-fight, which made them weak in Far East and Pacific region. They valued Chinese resistance highly and thought sustaining it would buffer the crisis of Far East and Pacific region, which laid the foundations for Chinese diplomacy.Second, the policies and targets towards Britain National government formulated during the Pacific War.In Pacific War, the national government started from serving the resistance and upholding national rights. Then, it formulated and adjusted the Sino-Britain policies according to the British policy, which need Chinese help and discriminated china. Before the Pacific War, the National governmental foreign policy was to make the Sino-Japanese problem internationalization, striving for British help in international forum, while resisting British Appeasement and fighting for the economic aid from Britain. After the Pacific War's erupting, the government laid the position of Sino-British policy on the joint resistance to Japan, and strived for the equal international status.
