By study Chinese Painting teaching, we know that, China has an age-old tradition for fine arts education. The reform experiments of fine arts education in mordern sense in our country are mainly using the experience of the West for reference, starting late and going through a short period. There are some researches related to this subject, but the visual angles are varied. This paper confirms the traditional techniques and patterns of Chinese painting, as well as, it provides something useful for mordern Chinese painting teaching.The introduction part expounds the significance and purpose of this research and explains the connotation of traditional fine arts education of Chinese painting teaching and puts forward the basic train of thought and methods for this research from the angle of school fine arts education and quality education.The first part induces the historical features of traditional Chinese painting teaching and summarizes roughly the two kinds of teaching methods in history.One is the passing pattern from master to apprentice, the other is orthodox school of art academy pattern .Thus, it expounds the primary stage and developing vein of Chinese painting teaching of traditional fine arts education.The second part proofs and analyzes the nucleas of traditional Chinese painting teaching. Searching for the inherent temperament and spirit of traditional Chinese painting and studing the philosophic connotation of traditional Chinese painting teaching will help us to have a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese painting.The third part mainly explores the reality and superiority of traditional Chinese painting teaching on the basis of mordern and contemporary superior theory of physiology, psychology, aesthetics and philosophy. This part also highlights the enlightment of traditional Chinese painting for mordern and contemporary fine arts education.The fourth part studies the functions of fine arts education to the present society' s politics, economy and religion from its influence in different eras to its restrained elements for development. This part also studies the social and historical value of the fine arts education' s existence.The last part appraises the present situation of traditional Chinese painting teaching and puts forward to create finely classics on the basis of those of traditional Chinese painting teaching.
