Content: With the development of times, our traditional translation theories can not meet the needs of the world. Translation study has been changed to culture from linguistics and now to borrow other various contemporary cultural theories to investigate, analyze and illustrate it. Today's translation has been put emphasis on culture and cultural communication, being discussed in cross-culture and cross-disciplines context to examine and caring about other disciplines involved. This paper aims at exploring cultural distortion in translation from its related discipline, i.e., communication. Translation firstly reveals symbol interaction and its "Two-time Coding" to source text. The whole process of translation shows a transferring of social information, which displays their interactions among communicator, channel and receiver. Therefore, translation is a special form of cultural communication and its theory is as the same as that of common communication. We know the element of communication is information, embodying from language symbols which embedded culture。 This process shows seemingly the dialogue between two different symbols—a dissemination of symbols, but in fact it is a dissemination of information. Language symbol has no meaning without communication and it is impossible for culture to exist. Translation is not only thecommunication of language but also of culture.Translators should master both languages (including native language and foreign language) and know their might, and they also should understand the underlying culture from the information conveyed by the language. Because language symbol is static, limited and abstract, it is impossible to use the limited symbols to describe the limitless world and its meaning. Decoding and encoding are subjective activities influenced by individual factors (such as translator's cultural qualities and different experiences), historic backgrounds and politics at the times that lead to distortion of cultural information. It is necessary to transmit information faithfully because cultural facsimile is the goal of translation. Although the informative distortion can't be avoided, the improvement of translator qualities will influence the faith of the informative communication and the control of informative facsimile in translation. The application of modern education technology in teaching makes modern translation teaching put much more emphasis on the literacy construction of student knowledge and Psychology. It requires students to use means of modern education technology to study; it requires students to master the ability of obtaining information and its disposal; it also is required to transfer translational nature of cultural communication and its completeness. After the students information literacy is constructed, they can do better in communication of cultural information and promote globalization of information.
