Trade Routes, Towns And Social Changes: Foused On Northeast Jiangxi Province (1842-1937)

Northeast Jiangxi is an important area connecting Zhejiang,Fujian,Anhui and Jiangxi.When Guangzhou as the only trading port,there have been prosperity of transit trade with its social economy developed accordingly.After opening five ports,as Shanghai's foreign trade boomed,it replaced Guangzhou and became the national center of import and export trade.Therefore,there have been radical changes in the pattern of national trade and trade routes;that was ,the trade route changed from longitudinal south-north to horizontal east-west centered in Shanghai .Consequently,the regional advantages of northeast Jiangxi lost gradually.Crrespondingly,the trade route,touwns and social changed slowly.This article probed into some basic characteristics of this area stressed on above three aspects during the modern transitional time.And we have come to conclusions that the reasons this region from the main trade route to edge region of modern age trade gradually,are that change of whole country,including Jiangxi's trade structure, as well as area advantage .However,in some aspects,this region still have development,by the indirect influence of outside ,especially Jiu Jiang.Nevertheless,the development is rather dialatory.
