Self-control is an important part of one's self-consciousness,and also an importantaspect of socialization. Self-control plays a crucial role in one's character formation. Theresearcher emphasized on the research of the development of the children's self-controlsince 1980's, they have found many valuable conclusions. The self-control has formed andget the rapid development during the childhood. This research applies observational methods to probe the development tendencies ofself-control and mother's attitude on self-control under different context. We select 2933~6-year-old children from one kindergarten in Changchun and two kindergartens inYichun city as subjects. The children must fulfill all tasks in the "do" and "don't" contextunder the mother's positive and negative attitudes. The results show that: 1.The children's self-control capability is significantly improvement with the ageincreasing during 3 and 6 years old, especially in 4,5 years old; 2.There are different self-control behavior of children under the different contextand mother's attitude; especially the older children are more different than younger ones; 3.Children's self-control behavior is significantly different under the differentmother's attitude, the self-control behavior under the mother's positive attitude muchbetter than the negative; 4.In the context of "do" and "don't", children's self-control behavior increases withage, the self-control behavior of the "do" context much better than the "don't".
