The purposes of the research are to investigate the structure of the universitystudents' anger, the relations between their anger emotion and personality traits, as wellas the difference in the dimensions of anger among different university students. Forthese purposes, this research adopts some methods, such as interview method, analysisof documents and investigation. For data, some standard research methods, such asindependent-sample T test, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysisand exploratory factor analysis, are employed. The main conclusions of this research are as follows: First, by using the way of exploratory factor analysis the structure of the universitystudents' anger, including angry experience, angry cognition , passive expression ofanger and positive expression of anger, is found. Moreover, passive expression of angerand positive expression of anger can be regarded as one dimension, namely angryexpression. Some results of this research and foreign results are compatible. Second, analysis of reliability and validity of the new invention indicate that thenew invention is a reliable and valid scale. Third, by using the ways of the correlation analysis and regression analysis, theresults show that it is relevant remarkably to exist between the university students'anger emotion and their personality traits. The university students' anger does well tothe predictive effects of their personality traits. In addition, university students' angerdoes better to the prediction of Neuroticism than to that of Psychoticism andIntraversion-Extraversion. Among angry four sub-dimensions, passive expression ofanger does best to the prediction of Neuroticism; positive expression of anger does bestto the prediction of Psychoticism; passive expression of anger does best to theprediction of Intraversion-Extraversion. Fourth, by using the methods of analysis of variance and independent-sample Ttest, the results indicate that demographic variable can do some effects on universitystudents' anger. Gender, grade, major discipline, source of students make universitystudents different remarkably in some or a few dimensions of angry foursub-dimensions.
