Comprehensiveness Of Need Its Axiological Meaning

As a contribution to philosophy, Marx turned need to category. Marx's proposals that human need is human nature, human need is distinguished from all animals by its indefinity and immensity, are the theoretical foundations in the argumentation of comprehensiveness of need. This paper stresses summarizing and generalizing Marx's theory on need in retrospecting evolution of theory on need. Refering to Maslow's theory on need and all researchings of today, conception of need is defined. This paper systemically investigates the comprehensiveness of need and its axiological meaning in the use of dialectic, especially the viewpoint of comprehensiveness and techniques of analyzing contradictions.This paper developes the comprehensiveness of need in the view of content , subject and time. There is discussion about the relation between comprehensiveness and formal one-sidedness of implementing need, about the methods of overcoming one-sideness, analizing need of abstract man and need of concrete man. The embodiments of comprehensiveness of need are the diversity of need, dialectic consolidate between coequality and hiberarchy, consolidate between person , group and species, indefinity and definity of need, current need and long-term need.The value is the meeting of need. The comprehensive appreciation of need decides the full appreciation of value. This paper probes into themeaning of need in three aspects- human full development, freedevelopment and durable development, discusses the possibility of free development in socialism, explains the reson of labour as the first need. This paper argues that comprehensiveness of need is impetus for merit to develop. Human free development depends on dealing correctly the relation between subsistence need and develoment need. The durable development depends on dealing dialecticly the relation between indefinity and definity of need, current and future need, and vary subjects of need.
