American author pearl s buck has been much criticized because of her works which exposed biologic living situation of Chinese farmer .they criticized these content through visual angle of politics , nationality and religion, almost no one has analyzed them through angle of theories . so the value of the part was neglected and can't be unfold well. I am mainly studying over the part of "chou", and try to expose the value to the world people . firstly I give "chou" a definition according to the former famous theorist and my own view. "chou" is carrier of aesthetic feeling in which soul become reconciled after negative feeling reduced by the content in the works. secondly I analyze the characteristic of "chou" in her works including authenticity, vitality, tragedy value and her capability of changing "chou" into "mei" . Thirdly I analyze the part about "chou" in her writing in detail. I partition the content according the studying method of theories of ideality in his aesthetic .there are four parts according the scale such as following: the age is out-of-order and turbulent. The situation in which dramatis personae lived is Thespian. Vital spark of dramatis personae was lack .home of spirit was lost. The social footing is abnormal, mainly is female's social status. Finally through compared with luxun the Chinese modern litterateur the feature of "chou" in her writing would be emerged In appropriate way. mainly I compare their works through their different writing purpose and feeling, their different cultural education and religion, and potential reader of their works. All of these can help us dig out the aesthetics value of the part about "chou" in her writing .
