In the Chinese modern literature history, Liang Shiqiu is a special theory critic and also the speaker of the New Moon Group, an important literal organization .He insisted on the classical opinions, denied the May 4th new literature and attacked the proletarian literature, which make a special discourse different from the main critical trend.Human Nature is the philosophical base and the key discourse for Liang Shiqiu. He conveyed his own opinion about human nature by criticizing others' in the history. About Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi who stressed on the natural discipline, Liang Shiqiu thought they disqualified the human's own independent nature. For the Maxists who pay great attention to human' social nature especially to the class characters, Liang Shiqiu denied them because class characters aren't the human's inner nature. And for Rousseau's Nature Humanality, Liang Shiqiu thought his central opinion was to abandon the rational restraint and discourage the action of sentiments. On the base of criticizing the Natural Humanality and the Social Humanality, Liang Shiqiu took the theory of New Humanism, and thought there were conflicts between the ration and sentiment. He regarded the ration as the key in the human nature which controlled the sentiments. However, this kind of ration didn't come from the western theory but from the Confucian ethics and it's the declaration of the Confucian humanism.In Liang Shiqiu's mind, the literature which expresses the general human nature is the classical and great literature. Classicism is a definition not for a kind of literal phenomenon but for a kind of literal mode. Studying from its literal spirits, it appears the discipline of the standard, harmony and balance.From the classical literature opinion, Liang Shiqiu thought over the current literature. He regarded the May 4th literature as a romantic mess and criticized the tendency of denying conventions blindly.
