In the last years of Qing Dynasty, facing the political corruption and the national crisis, the advanced Chinese persons took the road of armed revolution for the liberation. Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing were great leaders of the 1911 Revolution, and the outstanding Chinese bourgeois strategists as well. Both of them formed military theory such as armed revolution, strategy, tactics, building up the army, military service during the process of guiding for the armed revolution.The military thought of Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing was a process that gradually developed, and they enriched their theory on the basis of the ever-lasting research and practice. Huang Xing's theory preferred to practice, while Sun Yat-sen placed emphasis on the thought.Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing lived in the same era, but they were influenced a lot by such factors as life background, education, geographical environment, and life experiences, so it was inevitable that there were similarities and differences in their military thought. For instance, they were both in favor of armed revolution, but different in revolutionary forces they relied on; they were both in favor of the strategy that the people uprose in one province and the people in other places followed, but different in the choice of the concrete places. And they took the same tactics such as guerrilla warfare, concentrating an absolutely superior force and isolating and demoralizing enemy forces to depress-his followers. And also they both had a hardworking try and made effort in the field of building up the army.The military thought of Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing was a course of development, so it was unavoidably to have the negative effects during the leading process, but they were not main after all. Military achievement that they set up in the practice of revolution and abundant(rich) military thought are precious legacies in the military treasure-house.
