Study On Words On Cultivation In Shuo WenJieZi

Basing on semantic meaning, this author roundly studies the words in ShuoWenJieZi and chooses the words on cultivation, then commentates and classes those words. From this work, the paper shows us the characteristics of the words on cultivation, and the culture information in those words. The thesis consists of four parts:Firstly, the foreword. Three parts, confirming material of research, defining the words used by cultivation, explaining standard, constitute the first part. In the Ancient Chinese, the monosyllabic words are the chief. ShuoWenJieZi is a book systematically analyzing and exploring the forms of the Chinese characters, it's also a book reflecting the basic feature of the vocabulary from Zhou Dynasty to Han Dynasty. So, confirming material in book is good to confirm the Ancient Chinese from Zhou Dynasty to Han Dynasty. Words on cultivation are these words denoting things and actions of cultivation and planting.Secondly, classes the words on cultivation in ShuoWenJieZi. In this part, the author chooses the words on cultivation in the book, explains and classes those words. Those words are classed into field and soil, irrigation works of farmland, farm tools, crops, cultivate and plant. Some words about cultivation are not sure which one they are, I classes them to addition, and shows them under '附'.Thirdly, features Of the words on cultivation in ShuoWenJieZi.
