The Research Of The Management In Taiwan Of The Westernization Faction In The Late Qing Dynasty

After the Opium War, the Chinese society started the difficult modernize course. The striving movement, starting in the 1860's, was the initial endeavor for the modernization in China. Among the early modernize exploration, Taiwan's modernize construction occupied the important status.Taiwan's modernize construction was occurred under the special background-----Qing Dynasty was falling into the serious coastal territory crisis and was compelled to transform its govern policy in Taiwan . And it mainly experienced for three stages----the arising, the development and the climax .Shen Bao-zhen, Ding Ri-chang, Liu Ming-chuan , respectively, are the representative figures of the westernization faction who managed Taiwan in these three stages .This article takes their activities in Taiwan as a clue, describes the historical evidences and makes them as foundation .Based on them , a discussion on the occurrence reason, the main achievements and the management characteristic about Taiwan's modernize in the late Qing Dynasty will be made in this article.
