In the domain of music, " anthems" mean the songs which eulogize somebody's virtues and achievements, or sing the praises of something. In ancient China, people had been paying close attention to anthem creation, and many works, like anthems in The Book of Songs and odes of the Han Dynasty, were very famous. Most anthems at that time included some awestruck psychological suggestion. During the 30 years of contemporary era, a great deal of anthem songs appeared in China, extolling persons from common people to national leaders, eulogizing things from daily lives to national policies. In the respect of ideology, images in these anthem songs implied meanings of both deification and humanity. In the aspect of music development of China, they have broken down the barriers of formal music and folk songs, and "classic" songs spread quickly around the country. From the culture angle, we could find that the number of songs was very huge, but the "eulogy" meaning of them was so similar and unitary. This phenomenon had some profound connotation and exerted a tremendous influence to the contemporary society of China, which was I try to find.
