Ideology is the peculiar spiritual phenomenon of human society which has a long history. However, the origin of the ideological concept is not remote which was put forward by the French thinker Destutt de Tracy. It has gone through a course of developing and Its meaning has become rich and varied, Since the ideological concept was produced. It is a theoretical system of the ruling class, including such forms as politics , economy , law, morals, philosophy, art , etc., which has such characteristics in many aspects as relative independence , comprehensive ,class nature ,etc. And among them class nature is its essential attribute . Ideology is the embodiment in idea which is the hope and interests of the ruling class. It not only gives play to the social life function but also plays the function of cultural continuity of class society. To some degree, ideology is not only an abstruse philosophical proposition but a sensitive political issue. A great deal of questions and complexity in the ideological sphere have appeared ,which require us to analyse with Marxist eyes and carry forward Marxism .The important thought of 'Three Represents' in new period is Marxism which grows with each passing hour.
