PUYAOJING (普曜经), translanted in the Western Jin Dynasty, have remained the trace of two-syllable words in Wei and Jin Dynasties. Its vocabulary system inherits from Qin and Han Dynasties and emerges large quantities of new words and new senses. We count PUYAOJING (普曜经 ) 's words, attempting to describe PUYAOJING (普曜经) vocabulary system and discuss the way of its word formation. At the same time, we compare it with FANGGUANGDAZHUANGYANJING (方广大庄严经 ) , in which there are the different Chinese versions of the same words, to dig the trace of its word development.This paper falls into 5 parts:In the first chapter, we elaborate the original idea of this topic and the research technique of this article and introduce standard of its edition, word and times division.In the second chapter, we introduce Zhu Fahu (竺法护) and his PUYAOJING (普曜经) .In the third chapter, we describe the general picture of the Buddhism lexicon system of PUYAOJING. PUYAOJING (普曜经) contains 1290 the Buddhism words, in which there are 901 Buddhism terms and 389 especial words. In Buddhism terms, there are 137 transliteration terms, and 764 free transliteration terms. In free transliteration terms, there are 223 the recharge of old entities and 541 the invention of new entities, which are created through the following processes, acronym, meaning shift and so on.In the fourth chapter, we analyze the central mainland languages and expression in PUYAOJING. PUYAOJING (普曜经) contains 3725 words, in which there are 1637 single-syllable words, 2088 polysyllable words, 3013 words coming from Pre-Qin, Western and Eastern Han Dynasties and 712 new words, and 217 new meanings. In new words, there are 21single-syllable words and 691 polysyllable words, including 676 two-syllable words in many different constructions created through the following effective processes, compound, abbreviation, derivation. But in this chapter we focus on two-syllable words with the same words in reverse order and abbreviation.In the fifth chapter, we compare the words and expressions of PUYAOJING (#H&) andFANGGUANGDAZHUANGYANJING (# r~3zBiJsz%k) .
